SUMMARY:Poetry as Memoir\, Memoir as Poetry ~ Literary Arts Series
DESCRIPTION:Led by Linda McCauley Freeman \n\nAs writer's we've been told
to write what we know\, and the memoir has become a very popular literary
form. This workshop will explore using poetry as memoir\, as the instructor
did in her books\, The Marriage Manual (BWP\, 2024) and The Family Plot
 (Backroom Window Press\, 2022). Part craft discussion\, part generative\,
this workshop will delve deeply into what moves a poem from sentimental to
sizzling\, and from individual to universal. With a frank look at truth\,
revelations\, family secrets and more. In this roll-up-our-sleeves writing
workshop we will get to work with pen and paper to unleash your stories and
memories and explore poetic devices that can make them sing. This will be a
fun\, supportive creative writing workshop designed to get your words
 flowing.\n\n
